Dear friends,

With over 100 members joining in the past one month, the number of members has crossed the three-figure mark! A warm welcome to all new members!

We would like to thank Alan Pottinger, Technical Director, Commonwealth Forestry Association for putting a link of INFOMEETS in the very popular CFA website. Do visit the site at www.cfa-international.org for a range of interesting information on forestry in the Commonwealth. The link would definitely go a long way in reaching many foresters and thus help them use this resource. We would also like to thank Prof Liz Deane, Dean of the Division of Environmental and Life Sciences, Macquarie University, for recommending INFOMEETS to colleagues and students in its July Newsletter. We really appreciate the gesture and hope many more colleagues and students benefit from this Newsletter.

Based on feedbacks from members, we are looking at adding a section that could give information about outcomes of intergovernmental meetings that have restricted access to attend but are extremely important from the point of information. Do let us know your views on this.

This has been a very warm summer for people in the Northern Hemisphere, not to mention the frequent power cuts! Hoping for better weather ahead …
